Dr. Douglas A. Slaughter is a visionary pastor, leadership consultant, and international ministry strategist with over four decades of transformative service in faith-based leadership, education, and community development. In 1997, he founded Reach The World Ministries with a bold mission: to equip leaders, empower communities, and extend the reach of the Gospel across cultures and continents. Under his direction, Reach The World has launched youth leadership programs, developed character-based curricula for teens, and led global mission efforts in places like Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Dr. Slaughter has also provided faculty training at the Bilingual Christian University of the Congo (UCBC), supporting the next generation of Christian educators and faith leaders in Africa.
Prior to leading Reach The World full time, Dr. Slaughter served for 30 years as Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Aiken, South Carolina, where he established a Christian preparatory school and launched Project Excel, a youth initiative that impacted over 300 students through mentorship and academic support.

Dr. Slaughter is a certified coach and speaker through the John C. Maxwell Team and has completed leadership training at Harvard Divinity School and Furman University.
Today, Dr. Slaughter continues to pour his energy into training leaders, consulting with ministries, and expanding the global impact of Reach The World Ministries. His life’s work is rooted in the belief that strong, spiritually grounded leadership can transform lives and communities across the world.
